How can automated data logging systems reduce costs?

Data logging systems are typically used to evaluate test article degradation, reliability, and performance over time. Traditionally, data logging has been done by hand, with qualified personnel checking gages and monitors periodically and keeping meticulous notes. Due to developments in computing power and capability, data need not be hand-logged anymore. Electronic systems can digitize and store data with vast capacity, reducing the man-hours required for accurate data logging, thus reducing costs.

How is stored data retrieved when it’s needed?

With most systems, on-site personnel still must retrieve the data and copy it to disk or e-mail it for off-site personnel to review. We have solutions that eliminate the need for any on-site personnel to transfer data logs, further reducing costs and allowing the customer to allocate valuable personnel elsewhere. We can download data from remote systems over either a landline or using a cellular phone. We can create a data logger that automatically e-mails data to off-site personnel.
